Google TV Travel Setup
Adapt Android TV or Google TV to changing screens and short-term internet connections during European travel.
App availability can vary by country and device model. Use official stores or verified developer sources only.
Before you begin
- An up-to-date Android TV or Google TV system and access to its official store
- A connection stable enough for viewing in a hotel, rental or on a travel router
- Check for a free HDMI input on the hotel TV and make sure you can sign out of your Google account afterwards.
Step-by-step setup
- Choose a suitable player in Google Play Store for TV whose publisher can be verified.
- Add the account details supplied by the provider, then review audio, subtitle and picture options in a hotel, rental or on a travel router.
- Play a short live channel and test reconnection after a network change together with the device controls.
Troubleshooting
- If the player is absent from the store, check availability for your store-account country and do not turn to unknown file sources.
- Check for a free HDMI input on the hotel TV and make sure you can sign out of your Google account afterwards. If playback breaks up, lower quality one level and recheck congestion on the temporary network.
